Britt Festivals

Britt Festivals, a non-profit organization, is the Pacific Northwest's premier outdoor summer performing arts festival. Located in the historic 1850s gold rush town of Jacksonville, Oregon, Britt presents dozens of summer concerts, featuring world-class artists in classical music, jazz, blues, folk, bluegrass, world, pop and country music. Britt's performance venue is a naturally formed amphitheater set among majestic ponderosa pines and native madrones on the beautiful hillside estate of 19th century photographer Peter Britt.

Craterian

The Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater is southern Oregon’s state-of-the-art community performing arts center. The facility features excellent acoustics and sightlines, an impressive array of theatrical equipment and is operated by a professional staff. The auditorium is intimate and comfortable and seats just 732 patrons, yet the stage can accommodate large national concert, dance and theatrical tours.

Humane Society

The Southern Oregon Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of all animals in Jackson County. They serve the community by providing sheltering and adoption services for displaced dogs and cats, by reducing pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs, by eliminating the mistreatment of animals through public education, and by our commitment to a "Full Adoption" policy for our facility.

Jefferson Public Radio

Jefferson Public Radio's flagship station, KSOR, was established in 1969 on the campus of Southern Oregon University (SOU) in Ashland, Oregon. From a tiny 10-watt student run station, KSOR evolved to become a regional public radio service reaching over 1 million potential listeners in a 60,000-square-mile area of Southern Oregon and Northern California via the largest translator network in public radio.

Living Opportunities

Their missions is for people with developmental disabilities to work for the same employers, live in the same neighborhoods and have the same experiences everyone aspires to in our community. Members of the ARC of Jackson County created the corporation "Living Opportunities, Inc." in May 1974 to provide residential support services for people with developmental disabilities. As originally conceived, Living Opps would provide training and support in residential and vocational settings to assist people with developmental disabilities achieve their "greatest potential for independent living," provide respite care, advice and aid families with housing, and advocate for further development of housing and residential services for people with developmental disabilities. With thoughtful planning, Living Opps has been able to extend services to a steadily increasing number of individuals. Today more than 140 staff members support 23 people living in group homes, 60 people living in their own apartments, and 120 people working at jobs in Jackson County.

Maslow Project

Maslow Project is a goal-oriented resource center serving homeless and at-risk for homeless youth, school-aged through 21. They provide basic needs, as well as on-site access to a variety of services from community partners. Maslow Project helps youth establish educational, employment, and personal development goals while providing wrap-around case-management services to assist youth in attaining those goals. Maslow Project’s mission is to help youth build strong foundations by fostering self-sufficiency, removing barriers to services and education, and providing centralized access to resources. They are committed to treating youth and families with integrity, compassion, and respect. Through community collaboration, the project empowers youth to grow into healthy, productive, and independent members of society.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival

Founded in 1935, the Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is among the oldest and largest professional non-profit theatres in the nation. Each year OSF presents an eight-and-a-half-month season of eleven plays in three theatres plus numerous ancillary activities, and undertakes an extensive theatre education program. Operating on a budget exceeding $26 million, OSF presents more than 780 performances annually with attendance of approximately 400,000.

Sanctuary One

Sanctuary One at Double Oak Farm is the first care farm in Southern Oregon. Care farms are farms where people, animals, and the earth work together for mutual healing. They envision a future where care farms are as commonplace in the United States as libraries, hospitals, and colleges.

St. Mary's School

St. Mary's School has provided its students a high quality, college-preparatory experience in the best traditions of Catholic education, morality, and social service since 1865. They provide an environment dedicated to solid academic preparation for college, as well as the moral development of each student. St. Mary’s offers a full range of interscholastic athletics and a wide variety of clubs and other extra-curricular activities. Their 11:1 student: teacher ratio and close-knit community make St. Mary's a place where students can feel free to be themselves and fulfill their academic and personal potentials.
